When I wake up I ask myself one question,

Who do I want to be today?

Do I want to wear my extrovert face?

My introvert one?

Do I want to blend in or stand out?

Am I the observer or the participator?

Do I wear the brightest contacts or the dullest ones?

Do I rise to the bait and fight at first chance?

Do I roll my tongue and hold the words back?

So though the skin is my skin,

The face is my face,

I'm a method actor, it starts with the shoes.

Then I make my way up,

Until the transformation is complete.

I could be Jekyll or Hyde,

Van Helsing or Dracula.

I can wear a wig, false beard,

Put on a limp or fake a stammer.

There just tricks of the mind.

I've learnt a lot of lessons because I've made a lot of mistakes.

There's a city of doors out there and I have the skeleton key.

Everyone's a critic, Everyone's a player.

`This made me feel like the subject of the poem is unsure of who they truly are, or that they are sure but chose to not really let that person out. A good poem, aside from the few grammatical errors.
