I'm a published author who spends a fair amount of time in front of the computer, working on my next book. I'm open-minded when it comes to the areas of race, religion and s----l orientation, but NOT about cruelty in any form. I've recently adopted a plant-based lifestyle and no longer purchase purchase products that have been tested on animals.
I'm a bit of a grammar nerd. I find a well-turned phrase, correct grammar and good spelling to be incredibly attractive. You're far more likely to wow me with honest words than with empty platitudes and compliments.
I enjoy traveling, working jigsaw puzzles, quilting and reading. I go to the library about once a week. I also like to play chess, but it's difficult to find someone to play with.
I don't smoke. I don't drink. I don't do drugs. I'm not 420 friendly or 420 tolerant.
Religion - Episcopalian.
Politics - liberal.
Music - Classical, country, Christian, folk music. Not fond of rap or hard jazz.
Reading material - Almost everything. I like C. S. Lewis, Tolkein, Jan Karon, Margaret Frazer, and yes, J. K. Rowling.
TV - NCIS, Bones, Father Brown, Forever, Downton Abbey, almost anything on PBS, the History channel or the National Geographic channel.
I have a 12-year-old dog who shares my life.
I would like to connect with a LOCAL gentleman to go out with, hang out with, go places with, and do things with. I like living alone and being independent, and I don't want to give that up. I don't want to spend my time on trying to make a long-distance relationship work.
