Want a friendly person to chat with? Hi. I'm a reasonably affable kind of person looking to 'make friends' - male or female - to chat, bounce ideas around, talk rubbish or philosophy or politics or share fun stuff - whatever seems appropriate at the time.

To any females who may be viewing this profile: While I'm only looking for friendship at this point, I'm not ruling out a deeper friendship / relationship if that's the way things seem to be developing.

Obviously I like to write - otherwise why go to all the trouble of setting up an account, writing a profile etc on a, supposed, writers meeting site?

Sadly, though I've started many dozens of 'projects' I have yet to complete a single one! (Sound familiar?) I hope to complete a couple very soon (i.e. within the cycle of the next millenium or before my death - whichever is the sooner).

I'm interested in many things. Too many, really as it seems I have fairly superficial knowledge spread thinly over many subjects. However I do have an abiding interest in politics and world affairs (not of the celeb kind - huge, bored, disinterested yawn).

My 'day job', while sufficient to keep the bills from turning fiery red, is not vastly stimulating. The 13 year old in me thinks I'd feel / do much better in some sort of 'creative' role. One day, maybe.

In the meantime, when not slogging manfully through my day job, I fantasise about all the book and creative awards, praise and honours heaped on me because of the transcendental quality of my prose. Ha ha. It gets me through the day though.

I live close to London and commute in most days so anyone out there looking for a 'physical' as well as a virtual presence is welcome to seek me out for a drink and a chat if you're in the vicinity.
