Empassioned Writer By day, I am an elementary school teacher. By night, metaphorically speaking--actually within any quiet 15 minute or more span of time, I am a writer. Writing has been my keen interest since I was nine years old. Don't ask me how long ago that was! It has only come to the forefront of my interest, becoming my latest obsession really, in recent years at a time in my life when I have done all I can do and been everywhere I can go. That last deep seated yearning to become a published author remains and it is this dream I am currently chasing.

I am looking for fellow scribes with whom to interact on a daily or near daily basis to reassure myself I am not alone with all these voices in my head. Writers who are suffering the same moments of writer's block when their muse has forsaken them for a day at the beach could help me to see I am not the only one, that the machine of writing will once again churn. Writers who have been through the process of retaining an agent and been approached by publishers, if not already signed a contract, can give me hope and inspiration to continue with the tedious toil of editing and revising my manuscript.

Networking with like minds, and even some that are not so like-minded, in your chosen field is so crucial these days, especially when the profession is such a solitary one as writing.
