Amateur Writer Seeks Similar Gentleman For me, writing is not always a choice, but something I have to do. It is like there are things within me that I need to get out but I have no idea what they are. Once I put my fingers on the keyboard however, I seem to disappear and words just flow out of my fingers of their own accord. When I reemerge, poetry is then on the page and I feel emotional drained a bit, although emotionally better.
It is strange, to feel as though something is moving, propelling you to write and you have to obey it, but on the other hand, it is also wonderful.
